Future Lawyers Scholarship

INTRODUCTION
Andrew Cores Family Law Group, an Illinois-based firm with deep trial experience, is committed to mentoring the next generation of attorneys and strengthening the legal profession. As part of that commitment, our attorneys are pleased to help law students offset educational costs. Each semester, the firm awards the Andrew Cores Family Law Group Future Lawyers Scholarship — a $2,000 prize available to one current or prospective law student.
ELIGIBILITY
To be considered for the scholarship, applicants must satisfy all of the following:
- Be enrolled in, or planning to enroll in, an accredited law school in the United States.
- Have earned a minimum 3.0 GPA in their most recently completed semester.
- Be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.
- Be at least 17 years of age.
APPLICATION MATERIALS
Applicants should submit the following items:
- An unofficial academic transcript.
- Proof of enrollment at an accredited college or university.
- A professional headshot.
- Current contact information.
In addition, each applicant must provide a video (3–5 minutes) that addresses the prompt below:
- What inspired you to pursue a legal career, and how do you envision contributing to the legal community in the years ahead?
SELECTION PROCESS
Recipients are chosen based on the following considerations:
- Compliance with all eligibility requirements.
- The video’s professionalism, clarity, and technical quality.
- The thoughtfulness, organization, and creativity demonstrated in the video submission.
We encourage applicants to review these criteria carefully and submit thoughtful, high-quality materials.
