Introduction
Students enrolled in undergraduate, graduate, or vocational programs focused on healthcare engineering may apply by completing the application and submitting the required supporting documents. Originals of the application and accompanying materials should be mailed to The Robert Mack Scholarship Foundation.
Eligibility
Open to any individual actively pursuing undergraduate, graduate, or vocational coursework in healthcare engineering.
Application materials (please type or print legibly)
Applicants must provide the following items:
- Official grade transcripts from your most recent school showing GPA. For high school applicants, include grades from ninth grade through the first semester (or first two quarters) of twelfth grade. For students beyond high school, submit the most recent academic record available.
- A detailed description of community service. Use extra sheets if more space is needed.
- Short essays (required). Essays should be concise and titled as follows: "What does education mean to me?" and "What are my goals in the field of healthcare engineering?" Organize your responses clearly and ensure proper grammar.
- Letters of reference — at least three are required. One letter must relate to your school involvement (acceptable writers include a principal, teacher, coach, or counselor). The remaining two references should address your character; if you are currently employed, one of these letters must come from your supervisor.

Field of study and institution choice
The selected program must be connected to healthcare engineering. Appropriate disciplines include, but are not limited to: Mechanical, Electrical, or Structural Engineering; Plant Operations; Facility Management; Project Management; Architecture; HVAC; and Biomedical Engineering. Applicants may attend a vocational school, community college, state university, or university — choice of institution is left to the student.
