Overview
Aya Healthcare offers the Future Travel Nurse Scholarship to support nursing students who are pursuing clinical careers and improving patient care. The program awards multiple scholarships each year to help offset education costs and encourage more nurses to enter the field. The selection process is managed by Aya’s clinical services team and recipients are chosen annually.
Description: Aimed at aspiring nurses, this scholarship provides financial support to students who are currently enrolled in or accepted to an accredited U.S. nursing program and who demonstrate commitment to patient care.

Eligibility
Applicants must be full-time nursing students or provide proof of acceptance to an accredited U.S. nursing program. Candidates should maintain strong academic standing and demonstrate involvement in extracurricular or volunteer activities that reflect a commitment to healthcare. Current Aya nurses are not eligible for this scholarship.
Eligibility: Applicants should meet GPA and engagement criteria and cannot be current Aya employees.

- Active involvement in extracurricular organizations and/or volunteer work
- Passion for patient care and a career in healthcare
- Current Aya nurses are ineligible (see Aya Scholars Program for employees)
Award Details
Each year Aya awards up to ten scholarships, each valued at $1,000. Recipients are selected by a committee of experienced nurse leaders on Aya’s clinical services team. Awards are intended to reduce financial barriers and promote the development of skilled nurses in clinical settings.
Award Value: Up to ten $1,000 scholarships awarded annually to qualifying nursing students.

Application & Timeline
Applications are accepted year-round with a submission deadline at 11:59 p.m. PT on the December due date for that calendar year’s awards. Recipients are notified on or around January 31 of the following year. Applicants should ensure materials are submitted before the deadline to be considered for the upcoming award cycle.

Essay & Supporting Materials
Applicants must provide descriptive lists of extracurricular memberships, volunteer work, and any honors, presentations, publications, or scholarly activities. A 500-word essay is required that addresses specific prompts about nursing motivations, five-year professional goals, career objectives, and an optional question about interest in travel nursing with Aya.
