Save San Francisco Cyclists MJQ Scholarship

Overview
Two students from the Bay Area will be awarded $500 each; the award will be sent directly to the school where the recipient enrolls. Selection will be based on the criteria outlined below.
Who may apply
To qualify for the MJQ Scholarship, applicants must meet all of the following:
- Be a Bay Area resident — living in San Francisco or in a city located within 50 miles of San Francisco.
- Be planning to attend an accredited college or university in the United States in 2025.
- Be a current high school senior with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
Essay prompt
Title: Design a Skateboard-Friendly City
Describe how you would make San Francisco more welcoming and safer for skateboarders. You may address topics such as public education and awareness, local laws and enforcement, improvements to street and sidewalk maintenance, and the creation or enhancement of skate-friendly recreational areas. Aim for roughly 500 words.
