About Leon M Poe
Leon M. Poe was the father of Edana Jones. During Edana's final year in high school, Leon gave her the liberty and responsibility to chase her dreams, allowing her to explore a range of majors, institutions, and locations for her future.
Edana, unfortunately, did not have a well-defined plan for college, including choices of institutions and financial planning. She was sure about one thing: she wanted a college degree. Edana had been introduced to STEM classes during high school, where she found the curriculum enjoyable and excelled in her assignments. However, the schools in her home state were quite expensive. Edana was keen on finding a balance between her aspirations and financial feasibility.
Leon M. Poe encouraged her to find a school that would suit her needs and assured her they would figure out this life stage together. After she got accepted into Alabama A&M University, they worked together on the relocation process, student loans, and understanding expected family contributions.
During her first year at college, her father, Leon M. Poe, passed away. This organization was established in his memory. The organization's aim is to provide resources that uphold the same values imparted to Edana during her critical development phase.
