Charles L. Warren Memorial Heritage Scholarship — Background and Purpose
Known to friends and colleagues simply as “Chuck,” Charles L. Warren spent his career guiding and advising countless students before succumbing to cancer in July 1999. A graduate of Miami University, he earned a B.S. in Secondary Education and an M.A. in Guidance and Counseling. Chuck worked in the Office of Financial Aid and served in the U.S. Air Force as a Russian linguist. His greatest enthusiasm was helping high school students explore future opportunities—convincing them that with dedication and effort they could reach their goals. He shared that commitment as a wrestling coach and guidance counselor at Middletown High School and later as a guidance counselor at Colerain High School in Cincinnati. An active and beloved member of OACAC, Chuck’s legacy is honored through this scholarship.
