Chicago Police and Fire Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by University of Chicago
We want to get to know the real you—not an application-shaped version of who you think we want. No single element of your file—grades, extracurriculars, essays, recommendations, or standardized test results—will alone decide whether you belong here. Instead, use your application to represent yourself honestly and in your own voice: tell us your story, explain why you chose particular experiences, and describe the activities that matter most to you. The strongest applications are authentic and written in the applicant’s own words. First-year applicants to the University of Chicago may apply under one of four available application plans. Each plan receives the same careful review, so select the option that fits your situation and timeline. We also urge you to explore a wide range of colleges as you decide where to submit your applications. Application materials Prepare by reviewing the lists of required, optional, and supplemental items below. Every applicant must provide the required documents; depending on your background, interests, or the application path you choose, you may be asked for additional materials. Requirements can differ somewhat for particular groups—veterans, international applicants, and prospective transfer students should check the specific guidance that applies to them. Please note: except for prospective students-at-large, offers of admission are for entry in the Autumn Quarter only. Review all instructions carefully to ensure your application is complete.
