Introduction
Omega Phi Beta Foundation (OPBF) is a national philanthropic organization dedicated to expanding leadership, academic achievement, and community growth through educational programs and grant-making. Our efforts focus on backing people and groups who promote women’s participation in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, & Math) and supporting mothers who are returning to or continuing their education.
Scholarship Funding
Donations to OPBF are used to support three scholarships for women in the United States who are pursuing education and careers.

STEM to Flowers Scholarship
Purpose: The STEM to Flowers Scholarship supports a high school or college freshman who intends to pursue an undergraduate degree in one or more STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, and/or Mathematics). Increasing the number of women and girls in STEM broadens perspectives within these fields and helps inspire future generations of female scientists, engineers, and technologists.
Be a Rising Bud Scholarship
Purpose: The Be a Rising Bud Scholarship is awarded to a high school or college freshman planning to study an undergraduate program in the arts. The scholarship aims to ease tuition costs and encourage young women to develop their creative talents.
Studies considered for this scholarship include:
- Applied Arts: creative literature/writing, decorative art, design, fashion design, fine arts, graphic design, industrial design
- Cinematic Arts: animation, audio/sound, film-making
- Performing Arts: dance, music, step, theater
- Visual Arts: animation, architecture, audio/sound, ceramics, computer art, crafts, design, drawing, film-making, illustration, painting, photography, printmaking, video, visual communications
Fully Bloomed Scholarship
Purpose: The Fully Bloomed Scholarship is intended for mothers who are pursuing post-secondary education, including degree programs, certification courses, or vocational/training programs. Recognizing the demands of parenting, this award seeks to provide financial support to mothers who are balancing family responsibilities while working toward educational and career objectives.
