Programs and Opportunities
Missouri Thespians runs two primary student opportunities at the state conference: an 11th grade College Review (performance and technical) and a 12th grade Scholarship program (performance, technical, theatre education, and Theatre for Life). The College Review is designed for juniors seeking college-level feedback and exposure, while the Scholarship program awards graduating seniors for excellence in specific theatre areas. Both programs are limited by troupe registration caps and require online registration through designated Google Classroom portals. Applicants must choose the appropriate program aligned with their grade level.

Application Process

There are two Google Classroom join codes: one for juniors (College Review) and one for seniors (Scholarships). Each troupe manages its own registrations and must adhere to the applicant limits per troupe and per category. Scholarship Categories and Award Values
Missouri Thespians awards scholarships in multiple categories for graduating seniors, with specified numbers of recipients and award amounts. Categories include Performance, Technical Theatre, Theatre Education, and Theatre for Life. Each applicant may apply to only one scholarship category, and troupe-level caps govern how many students may be entered in each category. Awards are presented at the state conference.
Award Value: Performance scholarships: up to 4 recipients at $1,000 each. Technical Theatre scholarships: up to 3 recipients at $1,000 each. Theatre Education scholarships: up to 2 recipients at $1,000 each. Theatre for Life: one $1,000 recipient and up to four $100 finalists.
Eligibility: Each troupe may register up to 6 applicants total, with specific sub-limits: up to 4 applicants for Performance and/or Technical combined, and up to 2 applicants for Theatre Education and/or Theatre for Life combined.
