How recipients are chosen
Scholarship America is responsible for selecting recipients. The selection process considers:
- Academic achievement
- Demonstrated leadership and involvement in school and community activities
- A personal statement outlining educational and career objectives
- Significant personal or family circumstances
Applicants must demonstrate financial need as determined by Scholarship America to receive an award.
Selection is made solely by Scholarship America; Pegasystems officers and employees do not participate in selection decisions. Not every applicant will receive an award. Awards are one-time only and previous recipients may not reapply. All applicants agree that Scholarship America’s decisions are final.
Academic review will include evaluation of the applicant’s grade/mark average according to the grading system used in the applicant’s country and consideration of any academic examination results.
