Eligibility

Applicants must be high school seniors who reside within the jurisdictional boundaries of a Nebraska Lodge as indicated by the Grand Lodge. Eligibility is determined by residence at the time of application in accordance with the Grand Lodge mapping. Applicants should confirm residency status with their local Lodge if uncertain. Required Materials

Applicants must assemble and submit a complete set of documents that verify academic standing, leadership, extracurricular activity, and, where applicable, golf participation. One letter of recommendation is required and up to three will be accepted; acceptable authors include a principal, clergy, teacher, local businessperson, or employer. Additional required items include a coach’s letter verifying intent to play golf in college and 18-hole handicap when relevant, a certified high school transcript, a written statement (maximum 1,000 words), and a detailed list of extracurricular activities with seasons/years and leadership roles. The written statement must include leadership and community service details and expressly attest that AI was not used to complete the essay questions.

Applicant Agreement and Privacy

By submitting the application, applicants attest that the information and materials provided are accurate and complete. The application will be used solely by the Nebraska Elks Association for scholarship adjudication, and materials will be destroyed after the scholarship awarding process concludes. Incomplete applications will not be accepted or considered. Applicants should retain copies of their materials for their records prior to submission.

Applicant's Agreement: Applicants certify accuracy of materials, acknowledge that incomplete submissions are insufficient, and consent to the limited use and eventual destruction of application materials by the Nebraska Elks Association.
