Uplifting Communities Scholarship

At The Law Office of Donald L. Bell, we believe that education and empowerment are critical pathways to financial stability.
In line with this mission, we are proud to offer the Uplifting Communities Scholarship. This $1,500 award is available to undergraduates and graduates of any major and aims to support individuals dedicated to uplifting underserved communities.
Our scholarship can be utilized for a variety of essential educational expenses, including tuition fees, textbooks, and course materials. Our goal is to provide this award so that students can focus more on their studies without the added burden of financial stress.
What We Look for in Applicants
To be considered a viable candidate for our Fall 2027 Uplifting Communities Scholarship, you must:
- Show a demonstrated commitment and involvement in uplifting underserved communities through volunteerism and advocacy
- Be enrolled at and in good academic standing with an accredited college or university
- Maintain a GPA of at least 2.7
- Be at least 17 years of age or older
- Be a United States citizen or permanent resident
How Winners Are Chosen
The application process is thorough and takes approximately four weeks to evaluate all submissions. Our selection committee will assess each application based on the following criteria:
- The student has made a tangible impact within their community. This includes demonstrating leadership, initiating positive change, and actively contributing to community development projects or initiatives
- The student has written a thoughtful and well-constructed video submission.
- The student meets all eligibility criteria and has submitted all requested documentation.
