Since 1984, the Community Foundation of Louisville has awarded tens of millions of dollars in scholarships to help students reach their academic goals. We also work with donors to create scholarship funds that expand access to quality education for all.
General Scholarship Application — Overview and Eligibility
- Application window: Open now through March 2, 2026. Apply now.
- The General Scholarship Application connects applicants to more than 90 scholarship opportunities and results in awards to hundreds of students annually.
- Who may apply: graduating high school seniors, current and returning college students, students pursuing trade or vocational training, and graduate-level students. A single application will match you with every scholarship for which you qualify.

What you must submit
To complete the General Scholarship Application you will need to:
- Respond to general questions and essay prompts
- Describe work history, volunteer service, and extracurricular involvement
- Provide academic transcripts and your FAFSA Student Aid Report (SAR). If you are a refugee or an asylum seeker who cannot complete a FAFSA or obtain an official transcript, submit a written explanation and include your most recent GPA
- Give contact details for references
