Greater Worcester Community Foundation Scholarships
Scholarship Sponsored by Greater Worcester Community Foundation
Introduction
Established in 1978, the Greater Worcester Community Foundation’s scholarship program has grown into the primary provider of scholarship aid for students from Worcester County.
Program overview and impact
Working with philanthropic partners, we create scholarship funds that help college-bound high school graduates pursue higher education. Since our inception in 1978:
- 150 scholarship funds have been established
- 9,943 awards have been made
- $14.8 million has been distributed
Who is eligible
Most awards are made to current high school seniors who reside in the 60 cities and towns of Worcester County and who plan to enroll full-time in an accredited two- or four-year undergraduate degree program. Some scholarships, however, are available to current college students, adults pursuing their first bachelor’s degree, and applicants who do not live in Worcester County. Prospective applicants should carefully review each scholarship’s eligibility criteria.
