Scholarship Program for Illinois Pork Donors
The Illinois Pork Producers Association takes great pride in granting scholarships to nine deserving students each academic year. The scholarships are divided into three categories: Gold, Silver, and Bronze, with three scholarships in each category. Gold scholarships are worth $2,000 each, Silver scholarships are valued at $1,500 each, and Bronze scholarships are $1,000 each. To qualify, applicants must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program or be planning to enroll for the Fall 2024 semester. The IPPA Scholarships are available to Illinois residents who are pursuing any undergraduate degree at any two-year or four-year college.
The Adam Fesser Scholarship Program
The Illinois Pork Producers Association annually organizes the Adam Fesser scholarship, generously sponsored by the Mid-Illinois Pork Producers Association. A single award of $1,000 is granted. To be eligible, applicants must be enrolled as an undergraduate at a university, college, or community college for the 2024-25 fall semester. Additionally, applicants must have been a member of 4-H or FFA and be a resident of Illinois. To apply for the Adam Fesser Scholarship, students must submit a completed application form, a typed essay explaining their desire to pursue a career in agriculture, transcripts, a list of achievements and activities, and a statement of financial need. The Adam Fesser Scholarship Committee will review all applications to select the recipient.
The Ryan & Friends Scholarship Program
Students who are in search of scholarships are also urged to consider applying for The Ryan & Friends Scholarship, which is sponsored by the Purebred Swine Council.
