Overview
This scholarship supports dual-enrolled high school seniors planning to begin studies at The University of Southern Mississippi who meet specific academic and membership requirements. It is intended for students who transfer with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher and who are active members of the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Honor Society.
Eligibility
- Must be a dual-enrolled high school senior preparing to enroll at Southern Miss.
- Transfer cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above.
- Current membership in Phi Theta Kappa.
Award Details
- Total award amount: $12,000.
- Distribution: Eight consecutive payments of $1,500, applied each fall and spring semester.
Application and Required Documentation
This opportunity is the Incoming Freshman Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship. To be considered, applicants must be fully admitted to Southern Miss and upload official proof of PTK membership through the online application. Acceptable documentation includes, but is not limited to:
- A letter or statement from your Phi Theta Kappa advisor,
- A membership certificate downloaded from PTK.org,
- Other official proof of PTK designation that clearly displays your name.
