Education First Scholarships
Scholarship Sponsored by Education First
Since its inception in 1996, Education First has granted scholarships amounting to over $1,000,000.
The scholarships provided by Education First can be utilized for up to seven years post high school graduation, and can be used towards tuition fees or purchasing books.
The entire scholarship amount is sent directly to the scholar's chosen college/university during the first term. This allows the scholars to coordinate with their financial aid office to decide the best time (or term) to utilize the award.
Scholars have the flexibility to request a different disbursement schedule, as our aim is not to interfere with their overall financial aid package.
In case a scholar decides to transfer to a different institution, they can request for the unused scholarship funds to be returned to Education First. These funds will then be redirected to the scholar's new institution.
In the high school year of 2023/2024, we will be providing the following awards:
- Two scholarships of $3,500 each for college in all our chapter cities
- All recipients will be given access to a professional college coach
Only high school seniors from our partner schools are eligible to apply. Shortlisted applicants will be invited for an interview before the final decision is made. We are not necessarily looking for students with straight A's, but those who have the ability to overcome challenges and succeed in college.
The scholarship is available to high school seniors from selected high schools in the following U.S. cities: Austin, Boston, Denver, Los Angeles, Portland (OR), San Diego, San Francisco, and Seattle.
