Introductory summary The Italian American Club is awarding scholarships to qualified students of Italian heritage who are planning to pursue post-secondary education. Awards range from $1,500.00 up to $6,000.00. Selected recipients may also be considered for the National Italian American Foundation’s Voyage of Discovery program, a two-week, all-expenses-paid educational and cultural trip to Italy for the summer of 2024. Eligibility - Must be of Italian descent. - Must be a legal resident of Clark County, Nevada. - Must be at least a high school senior who is applying to, or intends to enroll in, an accredited college, university, or trade school. - Must enroll as a full-time student (minimum 12 credit hours per semester). NIAF / Voyage of Discovery Because the Italian American Club is affiliated with the National Italian American Foundation (NIAF) in Washington, D.C., our scholarship recipients are eligible to be considered for NIAF’s Voyage of Discovery program. Application deadline and delivery All parts of the application — the completed form plus all required attachments — must be received by the IAC Scholarship Committee no later than March 31, 2025. Application presentation and writing Responses should be typed or neatly printed, using correct grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure. Clear, well-organized answers will help reviewers understand your qualifications, activities, and goals. Required supporting documents (must accompany application) - Sealed official transcript(s) for the current academic year. - Photocopy of Nevada driver’s license or another form of photo identification. - One written or typed letter of recommendation from someone familiar with your extracurricular activities, programs, or community service. - One teacher or school counselor letter of recommendation on official school letterhead.
