Intro
We recognize that financial assistance can be essential to continuing your education. The Urban League of Nebraska offers scholarship opportunities to help graduating high school seniors pursue higher education. The listings include local, state, and national awards that may be applied toward enrollment at any accredited two- or four-year college or university.
Eligibility
To qualify for an Urban League of Nebraska scholarship, applicants must meet all of the following:
- Be a current resident of Nebraska
- Hold a cumulative high school GPA of 2.0 or above
- Have completed and documented at least 10 hours of community service
- Have taken the ACT or SAT
Application materials (requirements)
Applicants must submit the following items:
- Completed application form
- Official high school transcript or G.E.D. certificate
- Two letters of recommendation from individuals who can speak to your qualifications and motivation for college (recommendations from family members or relatives are not accepted)
- An essay (250–500 words) describing your goals, ambitions, and why you deserve the scholarship
- A résumé
- Any additional documents the selection committee may request
