The Nor-Cal Retired Coaches Association (RCA) is committed to supporting deserving high school student-athletes from Northern California in their pursuit of higher education. As custodians of the Nor-Cal RCA, we will provide scholarships to meritorious high school graduates to help them further their education at recognized colleges, universities, or vocational/trade schools.
Scholarship Value:
Each scholarship is worth $2,000, with multiple awards available.
Qualification Requirements:
- Applicants must be graduating from a high school located in Shasta, Siskiyou, Tehama, or Trinity County.
- Applicants must have participated in at least two seasons of Varsity Level, CIF sport(s) during their high school years. Participation in traveling teams not affiliated with the high school does not count. The two seasons do not need to be in the same sport.
- Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.75.
- Applicants must be planning to enroll in an accredited college or vocational/trade school for the 2025-26 academic year. Those considering a "gap" year immediately after high school should reach out to Bob Lowden at [email protected].
- It is not a requirement for applicants to participate in college athletics.
- A Nor-Cal RCA member will be assigned to each scholarship winner to provide mentorship and assistance as needed throughout the duration of the scholarship. All recipients will be honored at a Nor-Cal RCA event.
