Supporting the future of agriculture, the We Believe in Growing Scholarship invests in students pursuing agricultural education and careers. The program targets high school seniors from Madera, Fresno, Tulare, Kings, and Kern counties who plan to major in an agricultural field at a four-year institution. Two scholarships are awarded annually to qualified applicants and are intended to support degree completion over multiple years. The award emphasizes both academic preparation and clear vocational goals in agriculture.

Eligibility

Applicants must be graduating high school seniors who reside in Madera, Fresno, Tulare, Kings, or Kern counties and whose future educational and vocational goals are related to agriculture. Applicants must be accepted to, or in the process of applying to, an accredited four-year college or university; if not yet accepted, they should list the institutions to which they have applied. Complete application materials, including transcripts and letters of recommendation, are required for consideration. Incomplete, handwritten, or late applications will not be accepted.

Eligibility: Graduation from high school, county residency, intent to major in an agricultural field at a four-year accredited institution, and submission of required application materials.

• Acceptance to or application for an accredited 4‑year college is required.

Award Value

Two recipients will receive $10,000 each, awarded to students planning to attend a four-year college or university with an agricultural major. Each $10,000 scholarship is disbursed as annual installments of $2,500 over four years, supporting continued enrollment and progress toward a degree. The award is designated for students committed to agricultural career pathways. Specific disbursement conditions or renewal requirements should be confirmed with the scholarship administrator.

Application Process

Submit a complete application packet that includes transcripts, ACT or SAT scores, and two letters of recommendation. Applications must be received by the stated deadline time of 5:00 p.m. PST (the specific deadline date should be confirmed with the program); receipt by the deadline, not postmark, is required. Do not submit original transcripts in sealed envelopes or folded documents, and do not send applications in small envelopes, portfolios, or folders. Two unstapled copies of the entire application packet are required.

Submission Instructions
