Scholarship Details & Eligibility
The program offers distinct awards: the Farm Credit Mid-America Scholars for students majoring in agriculture and the Customer Scholarship for those pursuing agricultural or rural community-related careers. Applicants must meet the eligibility criteria specific to each award and will be evaluated on academic performance, leadership, and community engagement. Applicants may submit applications for multiple scholarships but may receive only one Farm Credit Mid-America scholarship per school year.
Eligibility: Open to students majoring in agriculture (Farm Credit Mid-America Scholars) or pursuing agricultural or rural community careers (Customer Scholarship); team members and directors of Farm Credit Mid-America and their children are ineligible.

Application Timeline: Applications for the 2027 Farm Credit Mid-America Scholars scholarship are accepted through December 2026. The 2027 Customer Scholarship application window opens October 1, 2026 and continues through the January deadline; applicants for that award will be notified in April 2027.

Award Distribution & History of the Award
Scholarship funds for the 2027 cycle will be disbursed by August 2027 for the fall semester. Awards are intended to directly support recipients’ educational expenses at the start of the academic term. Recipients are notified according to the timeline associated with each scholarship category.
