Overview

The New Jersey Golf Caddie Scholarship supports students who have caddied at participating New Jersey golf clubs and plan to attend college full time. Applicants must have caddied for at least two seasons at a participating club and be enrolled or planning to enroll as full-time undergraduate students at an institution accredited by the U.S. Department of Education. Awards are administered by the Caddie Scholarship Foundation, which establishes application and eligibility requirements.

Application

Applications for the 2027–28 academic year are accepted by the Caddie Scholarship Foundation until October. Applicants register by creating a profile and submitting a completed application through the Foundation’s portal, then upload required supporting documents. Follow the Foundation’s instructions to provide verifications and recommendations as part of the online application workflow.

Application Timeline: The Foundation is accepting applications for the 2027–28 academic year until October.

1. Create a profile and submit your completed application.
2. Upload pages 1 and 2 of your parents’ (or guardians’) 2025 Federal Income Tax Return.
3. If you are a high school senior, upload your current transcript showing cumulative GPA and your SAT or ACT score report, if taken.
4. If you are currently enrolled in college, upload your current college transcript indicating your cumulative GPA.

Selection Criteria

The NJ Golf Caddie Scholarship Committee reviews applications using multiple factors to identify applicants who best meet the program’s goals. Evaluations emphasize academic performance, financial need, personal character and leadership, and the applicant’s club support of the Foundation. The committee considers all criteria together to make award decisions.

Required Documents

Applicants must upload specific financial and academic documents as part of the application. Required items include pages 1 and 2 of a parent or guardian’s 2025 Federal Income Tax Return, and transcripts appropriate to the applicant’s current status (high school or college). Ensure uploaded files are current, legible, and correspond to the information entered on the application.

Applicants for related scholarships should observe specific program requirements when applying. If you apply for the NJ Golf-Evans Scholarship, you must also submit an application to the NJ Golf Caddie Scholarship Foundation. The application system requires your manager’s email to request employment verification and a recommendation on your behalf.
