2025 Dwyer Williams Cherkoss Attorneys, P.C. Law School Scholarship
As the premier personal injury law firm in Oregon, Dwyer Williams Cherkoss Attorneys, P.C. is proud to offer three scholarships to support students entering law school in Fall 2025. These scholarships are designed to assist with first-year expenses for graduates from an undergraduate school who have gained admission into an accredited U.S. law school.
Total Scholarships Awarded: $10,000:
- 1st Place: $5,000
- 2nd Place: $3,000
- 3rd Place: $2,000
Eligibility: To qualify for the DWC Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States.
- Have acceptance to begin their first year of law school in fall 2025.
- Have a cumulative undergraduate GPA of at least 3.0.
- Have received a bachelor’s degree from an accredited undergraduate college in the United States.
Requirements: Applicants are required to submit the following by June 30, 2025:
- A completed Scholarship Application Form.
- A one to three (1-3) page typed essay. The essay topic is open-ended, allowing applicants to discuss subjects such as personal or family history, achievements, overcoming adversity, volunteerism, goals as a future lawyer, or any other compelling topic.
- A complete set of undergraduate college transcripts (official or unofficial).
- An acceptance letter from an accredited law school in the United States.
- Proof of legal residency in the U.S. (e.g., birth certificate, passport, permanent resident card, etc.).
Award:
- The DWC scholarships will exclusively cover law school tuition and related expenses.
- Checks will be made payable directly to the recipients’ law schools.
- Recipients are expected to submit receipts in compliance with IRS regulations.
- Scholarship recipients will be notified about their selection on or about August 15, 2025.
Deadline:
Completed applications must be submitted no later than June 30, 2025.
