SOPREMA Scholarship

SOPREMA has initiated a scholarship program to foster the growth and success of our industry by investing in the future generation committed to the building envelope. The SOPREMA Scholarship is designed to support undergraduate and graduate students who are pursuing degrees in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a similar field at an accredited four-year college or university.
QUALIFICATIONS
To be considered for the SOPREMA Scholarship Program, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- They must be high school seniors, graduates, or current postsecondary undergraduate or graduate students, pursuing a degree in architecture, engineering, construction management or a related field*. *A related field is one that is relevant to those seeking a career in the building envelope (i.e., roofing, wall systems, below grade waterproofing, etc.). SOPREMA will approve any exceptions.
- They must plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate or graduate study at an accredited four-year college or university for the entire academic year from 2023-2024 to 2025-2026.
- SOPREMA employees and their family members are not eligible to apply.
APPLICATION PROCESS
A complete application must include the following:
- An essay
- Two references from instructors
- An unofficial transcript
The essay should answer a two-part question in 1000 words or more, or it will be automatically disqualified:
- What motivated you to pursue a career in the construction industry?
- What suggestions do you have to make the construction industry more sustainable?
- Please provide information about yourself in the essay.
SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS
If chosen as a recipient, the student will receive a $5,000 award. A maximum of five (5) awards will be granted nationwide. While the awards are not renewable, students can reapply to the program each year they meet the eligibility criteria.
