At Stantec, we are firm believers in the transformative power of leadership, innovation, and community engagement. Our Future Leaders Scholarship is specifically designed to empower the upcoming generation of students who are passionate about making a significant impact in their respective fields and communities.
Annually, Stantec grants scholarships worth $200,000 to students who are pursuing their education in the fields of science, technology, engineering, arts/architecture, and mathematics (STEAM). This scholarship program is open to all students, irrespective of their backgrounds, who exhibit leadership qualities, resilience, and a dedication to creating a better future.
The number of scholarships granted will be determined based on the unique needs expressed by the applicants. The scholarship amounts will vary, ranging from $1,500 to $10,000. In addition to this, up to 10 paid internships (the locations of which will be announced annually) will be available to the applicants.
In 2025, we were able to provide financial support to 46 students from various countries including Australia, Canada, Puerto Rico, the United States, Jamaica, and New Zealand, to further their education. Alongside the scholarship, we also offered two paid internships within our Technology and Engineering teams in North America.

The students we have chosen are deeply passionate about their studies and future careers, which encompass a broad spectrum of disciplines such as engineering, cyber security, biology, music, medicine, international affairs, computer engineering, psychology, and more. We acknowledge the importance and benefits of diverse ideas within our communities and are dedicated to providing a platform to support the upcoming generation of industry leaders and advocates.
