Multiple scholarships valued at up to $1,000 each are available to applicants to use toward any variety of LTC professional development opportunities, including conferences, certifications, college degree programs, one-day training events, etc.

The Indiana Health Care Foundation invites Indiana long term care employees to apply for a Career Climb Scholarship. Multiple scholarships valued at up to $1,000 each are available to applicants to use toward any variety of LTC professional development opportunities, including conferences, certifications, college degree programs, one-day training events, etc. before December 2026.

Please carefully review all eligibility guidelines and instructions carefully before completing the application.

• IHCF Career Climb scholarships will be given to selected recipients in the form of reimbursements for expenses incurred related to your designated program.
• If your attendance or participation in the course or program is dependent upon receiving a scholarship award, we suggest NOT paying for the program or incurring any expenses until you receive notification that you have been selected for a scholarship.
• If you are interested in the scholarship program but are unable to afford the expense of your program registration fees out-of-pocket before being reimbursed, please contact Shannon Harris at admin@indianahealthcarefoundation to discuss alternative scholarship award payment options. In some cases, IHCF may be able to pay the company or institution directly.

Eligibility requirements:

• You are currently employed in long term care at an Indiana-based facility AND have been employed by a long term care provider (or multiple providers) for a minimum of one year with the ability to show proof of employment if requested.
• Meet ONE of the following criteria:

1. Are enrolled in, registered in, or accepted to a higher education institution that will allow you to complete or continue your educational goals related to your career in long term care before the December time frame.
2. Are interested in (or registered for) a continuing education program, certification program, or one-day/multi-day training or education program or conference that will allow you to complete or continue your educational goals related to your career in long term care before the December 2026 timeframe.

• Are able to provide documentation of program expenses and fees, as well as receipts for reimbursement if selected for a scholarship.
• Are able to provide documentation showing attendance at or completion of your program or semester by the December 2026 deadline. Scholarship recipients who do not provide documentation of program attendance or completion or enrollment will be asked to return any scholarship funds.

If you answered YES to all four questions, you are eligible to apply for an IHCF Career Climb Scholarship! Applicants may receive a scholarship award once per year and are welcome to reapply if not awarded during a previous award window.
