Introduction
This annual bursary supports nursing students who show the highest level of financial need. Awards are made once a year to eligible applicants enrolled in qualifying nursing programs in British Columbia.
Award details
- Amount: $2,000 per recipient.
- Limit: A recipient may receive only one bursary within any 12-month period.
Eligibility
You may qualify if you:
- Are enrolled full-time in an eligible nursing program of at least four months’ duration at a designated B.C. post‑secondary institution, and the program leads to a certificate, diploma, or degree that is recognized for nursing practice in B.C.
Important notes
- Applicants who are in default on a B.C. Student Loan, or who have a bankruptcy that includes B.C. Student Loans, are ineligible for this funding.
- Part-time nursing students are not eligible.
- Funding is limited; not all applicants who demonstrate need will receive an award. Applications are ranked within the bursary period to determine those with the greatest financial need.
