Introduction
The Agrawal Fellowship for Resilient Scholars offers holistic academic, financial, wellness, and community support to high-achieving students from the Bay Area who have lost a parent. Using a cohort-based approach, the fellowship equips students with the resources, peer connections, and guidance needed to succeed across their undergraduate years and beyond.

Program Support — Four Pillars
We support Fellows throughout all four years of college across four key areas:

- Academic: Tailored academic advising and support designed to help each student meet their individual academic goals and handle the demands of college coursework.
- Financial: A $10,000 annual scholarship to help cover tuition-related costs, plus ongoing financial education and planning assistance to reduce monetary barriers.
- Wellness: Prioritizing mental and emotional health with one-on-one counseling, grief-focused support groups, and other wellness tools and referrals.
- Social: Building a lasting community through cohort activities, mentorship, and an alumni network that fosters peer support and professional connections.

Eligibility Requirements
To be considered, applicants must meet all of the following:

- Currently attend high school in the nine-county San Francisco Bay Area (San Francisco, Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Napa, Sonoma, or Solano).
- Have experienced the death of a parent (includes biological, adoptive, step-parents, or a legal guardian).
- Hold a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
- Be accepted to a bachelor’s program at an accredited four-year college or university.
- Commit to active involvement in cohort meetings, workshops, mentorship sessions, and other program activities throughout their undergraduate education.

Who We Want to Support
Beyond meeting the eligibility criteria, ideal candidates are students who:

- Demonstrate resilience and a clear drive to pursue higher education.
- Are eager to form meaningful relationships with peers and mentors.
- Show an interest in personal wellness and community engagement.
- Are willing to share their experiences and contribute to the cohort’s mutual support.
