Connecticut Community Foundation Scholarships
Scholarship Sponsored by Connecticut Community Foundation
Intro
Generous contributions from our community over the years have helped emphasize the life-changing value of a college education. More than 150 donors have established scholarship funds that each year enable Connecticut Community Foundation to support hundreds of students. We are now one of the largest providers of college scholarships in the Greater Waterbury and Litchfield Hills area, and we welcome your application.
How the scholarships are organized online
On our website you will find descriptions of the different scholarship categories and step-by-step instructions for applying to each.
General College Scholarship — overview
The majority of the Foundation’s awards are classified as “general” scholarships and use a single application form. These scholarships are open to students who meet the Foundation’s baseline requirements (outlined below), although some awards within this group may include additional or different eligibility rules — please review each scholarship’s specific criteria before submitting an application.
Basic eligibility for most general scholarships
- Residence: Must live within the Foundation’s 21-town service area.
- Academic average: A cumulative grade average of B- or higher.
- Enrollment plans: Intend to enroll in an accredited undergraduate program at a U.S. college or university — applicable to new, returning, and currently enrolled college students.
- Financial need (for new applicants to the Foundation’s general scholarships): A FAFSA Student Aid Index (SAI) below $30,000 is required.
