Polish American Club of North Jersey Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by Kosciuszko Foundation
Introduction
The Polish American Club of North Jersey (PACNJ) Scholarships are available to eligible PACNJ members. Awards are distributed by the Kosciuszko Foundation on behalf of the PACNJ. PACNJ-funded awards support full-time study in the United States only.
Kosciuszko Foundation Tuition Scholarship
Separately, the Kosciuszko Foundation Tuition Scholarship provides assistance to U.S. students of Polish ancestry pursuing full‑time undergraduate or graduate studies. Award sizes range from $1,000 to $12,000. Funds from this program may be used for full‑time study at U.S. institutions and at English-language medical schools in Poland.
Limits, selection factors, and matching
- An individual may receive no more than two tuition scholarships during the course of his or her studies.
- Selection considers the completeness of the application, teacher/professor recommendations, academic record and accomplishments, demonstrated interests and motivation, answers to essay questions, involvement in the Polish‑American community, and financial need.
- Applicants are matched to specific endowed or restricted funds, which can include conditions such as field of study, state of residence, or other requirements. If you change your major, degree program, or institution after being notified of an award, you must inform the Kosciuszko Foundation Grants Department; such changes may require re‑matching to another fund and could result in award reassessment or cancellation if no suitable fund is available.
- Submit only one application; the Kosciuszko Foundation will consider you for any tuition scholarship for which you are eligible.
Eligibility — Tuition Scholarships for Graduate Studies
- U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents
