Description: The Foundation of the Pennsylvania Medical Society administers the LeCoMASE Fund Scholarship to support medical students who are residents of Lehigh County. The scholarship is funded by contributions from the Lehigh County Medical Auxiliary's Scholarship and Educational (LeCoMASE) Fund. It is intended to assist students enrolled in fully accredited United States medical schools. The program focuses on sustaining local talent pursuing careers in medicine.

Eligibility
Eligibility: Applicants must be United States citizens and residents of Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. Residency in Lehigh County must be established for at least 12 months prior to registering as a medical student; time spent attending undergraduate or graduate school does not count toward this residency period. Eligible applicants must be enrolled full-time in a fully accredited United States medical school. Meeting all eligibility criteria is required to be considered for the scholarship.

Application Requirements
Application Requirements: Applicants must submit materials through the Scholarship Application Portal. Required items include a completed scholarship application, two reference letters from non-family members (one must be from a medical school professor or a physician), a letter on school letterhead verifying full-time enrollment, and an essay of 750 words or less addressing the applicant’s goals and expectations in medicine. All documents must be provided via the portal to complete the application.
