Award Details

For 2026, COMTO Washington will award up to $50,000 to eligible students pursuing transportation-related college studies. Awards are intended for tuition and are disbursed directly to the recipient’s college, university, or vocational institution. Multiple recipients may share the total funding allocation, and award amounts to individuals may vary. The scholarship funds must be used for eligible educational expenses as defined by the institution.

Eligibility

Applicants must meet academic, residency, and enrollment criteria to qualify for a COMTO Washington scholarship. Eligible candidates include graduating high school seniors and current post-secondary students at accredited colleges, universities, or vocational/trade schools. Applicants must demonstrate satisfactory academic progress, Washington state residency, and legal authorization to study in the United States. The full application must be submitted by the deadline, and recipients must be enrolled in a transportation-related major or minor in the term following the award.

Eligibility: Applicants must be Washington state residents in good academic standing who are authorized to study in the U.S. and pursuing post-secondary training in a transportation-related field.

• Graduating high school seniors or current post-secondary students (freshman through graduate level) at accredited institutions.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 and in good educational standing.
• Permanent resident of Washington state (may attend college outside the state).
• U.S. citizen, visa holder, or green card holder with authorization to attend school in the United States.
• Complete the full COMTO Washington Scholarship Application by the deadline.
• Must be enrolled in the term following the award with a major or minor in a transportation-related field.
