Overview

This scholarship fund awards two annual scholarships to students from Greater Clark County who plan to pursue careers in teaching or nursing. Each scholarship supports either a bachelor’s or an associate degree, with funds disbursed annually while the recipient remains enrolled. Description: Two scholarships are awarded each year—one for students pursuing teaching and one for students pursuing nursing. Each award is paid on an annual basis to support continuous enrollment.

Award Value: For a bachelor’s degree the award is paid at $7,500 per year for four consecutive years (totaling $30,000). For an associate degree the award is paid at $7,500 per year for two consecutive years.

Requirements

Applicants must meet specific residency, academic, and graduation standards to be considered for the scholarship. The scholarship accepts students who will enroll at any accredited two- or four-year institution. Meeting all listed requirements does not guarantee selection; recipients are chosen based on the fund’s selection criteria.

Eligibility: Applicants must have attended a Greater Clark County high school for three of the four years of high school and plan to pursue a degree in teaching or nursing.

Academic Requirements: Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale and must have graduated with a CORE 40 diploma or an equivalent credential.
