Better Together STEM Scholarships
Scholarship Sponsored by Pacific Gas and Electric Company
PG&E Foundation’s Better Together STEM Scholarships provide awards of $2,500, $5,000, or $10,000 to students pursuing studies in science, technology, or engineering. These scholarships support students planning to attend universities in California. Applicants must be residents of California and have a PG&E account at the time they apply.
Eligibility
- Status: Applicants may be high school seniors, high school graduates, GED recipients, current undergraduates, or postsecondary undergraduate students. Veterans and adults returning to college are welcome and encouraged to apply.
- Residency/account requirement: Your primary residence must be served by PG&E in California when you submit your application.
- Enrollment plans: You must intend to enroll full time in an eligible STEM undergraduate program for the entire upcoming academic year at an accredited four-year college or university in California or at a Historically Black College or University (HBCU).
- Degree requirement: This scholarship is intended for students pursuing their first undergraduate degree.
Award amounts
- Scholarships are offered in three award levels: $2,500, $5,000, and $10,000.
Fields of study considered eligible
- Engineering (including but not limited to electrical, mechanical, industrial, environmental, power, and energy engineering)
- Computer Science / Information Systems
- Cybersecurity
- Environmental Sciences
- Mathematics
- Physics
Notes
- Applicants must meet all residency and PG&E account conditions at the time of application.
- The scholarship supports full-time undergraduate study in an eligible STEM field for the upcoming academic year.
