Scholarship Overview
The Alabama Environmental Health Association (AEHA), Inc. offers an annual scholarship targeted to undergraduate students in their junior or senior year. The award recognizes academic progress and commitment within environmental health–related fields and is administered by AEHA. Recipients are announced and honored at the association’s annual meeting. The scholarship also includes a complementary AEHA honorary membership for one year.

Eligibility
Applicants must be current juniors or seniors enrolled at an accredited four-year college or university and must reside in the state of Alabama. In addition to class standing and residency, applicants must satisfy at least one of the association’s academic or membership-related criteria. These criteria focus on pursuit of environmental health or related scientific coursework, or a familial connection to a current AEHA member. Documentation of enrollment, residency, and relevant coursework or parent membership will be required as part of the application.
Eligibility: Applicants must be Alabama residents enrolled as juniors or seniors at an accredited four-year institution and meet one of the specified academic or membership conditions.
- Current junior or senior at an accredited four-year college or university
- Alabama resident
- Must meet one of three criteria: pursuing an Environmental Health degree; pursuing a degree with at least 20 semester hours in specified sciences; or having a parent who is a current AEHA member
Award Details
The scholarship carries a monetary award of $1,000.00 and includes a one-year honorary membership in AEHA. The monetary award is presented at the Alabama Environmental Health Association’s annual meeting, where the recipient is publicly recognized. The combination of financial support and membership aims to encourage continued study and professional engagement in environmental health disciplines.
