Introduction
Named in honor of Barbara Price — a devoted scholar, mother, and grandmother — the Barbara Price Grant awards $1,500 to outstanding high school seniors (or equivalent) who plan to begin their first semester of post-secondary study the following fall.
Who is eligible
- Current high school senior (or equivalent)
- U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or DACA recipient
- Intending to enroll for the first time at a U.S. college or university in Fall 2025
- Demonstrates strong academic performance (for example, an unweighted GPA of 3.75 or higher)

Application components
01 — Personal Information (limited use)
Before submitting, verify that your personal details are up to date. We operate under a Blind Review Commitment; if any personal information changes after you submit your application, email us with the subject line: [Full Name] "Personal Information Update".
02 — Academic Achievement (substantial use)
Provide a PDF of your most recent transcript, including grades for your last completed semester. The transcript must list courses, terms taken, grades, and an overall GPA covering all semesters. We may also request additional academic details such as AP/IB courses, the type of GPA weighting used, extracurricular activities, and similar information.
03 — Creative Statement (substantial use)
Submit an original creative statement (maximum 750 words) as a single-page PDF for review by the selection panel. Choose one of the prompts that will be made available on the Application Open date.
04 — Brief Advocacy Statement (limited use)
Write a short advocacy statement up to 100 words explaining what the Barbara Price Grant would mean for you. Possible focuses: why you should be chosen, how you would use the funds, and what makes you a strong applicant.
