Colorado 4H Scholarships
Scholarship Sponsored by Colorado State University
Overview
Each year in late spring, Colorado 4‑H — through the Office of Engagement & Extension — awards scholarships to deserving 4‑H youth for the coming academic year. Award amounts vary and most scholarships are one‑time awards. Applicants are assessed and ranked by a scholarship committee based on the stated scholarship criteria and their 4‑H accomplishments. Most scholarships require at least 2–3 years of participation in 4‑H; individual awards list any additional participation requirements. The application period for the 2025 awards runs from November 1, 2024, through March 1, 2025. Recipients are expected to be announced around May 2025. Opportunities are available for a wide range of students — those heading to Colorado State University or other universities, trade or technical schools, community colleges, transfer students, and continuing students.
General eligibility notes
- Minimum 2–3 years of Colorado 4‑H participation is required for most scholarships (check each listing for any higher or more specific requirements).
- Some awards require proof of acceptance or enrollment in a college, university, or trade school.
- Select scholarships specify GPA minimums, field of study, geographic or county affiliation, or experience with particular project types.
- Where letters of recommendation or volunteer/service documentation are required, the individual scholarship description will note that requirement.
