Being the first in your family to pursue a four-year college degree can be intimidating. Without close guidance from family, you might feel unprepared at university. At Shevlin Smith, P.C., we want to uplift first-generation college students through our First-in-Family Scholarship, a $1,000 opportunity available in the fall and spring semesters.
This scholarship is open to students with a demonstrated need for financial assistance. Applications for the Spring 2027 semester are open until February 8, 2027.
Qualifying for the First-in-Family Scholarship
You may apply for the First-in-Family Scholarship if you meet the following requirements:
- You must be a first-generation college student, meaning that your parents or guardians have not attained any sort of higher education.
- You must be enrolled or planning to enroll in an undergraduate program within the United States for the Fall.
- You must be at least 17 years old.
- You must be a citizen of the United States.
