Wenatchee Valley College Foundation Scholarships
Scholarship Sponsored by Wenatchee Valley College Foundation
Scholarship Program Overview
Description: The Wenatchee Valley College Foundation awards more than 200 scholarships each year to support student success. Awards are determined by available funding and each student’s unmet cost of attendance as evaluated by the Financial Aid office. Scholarships are distributed for one academic year and may require follow-up confirmation when awarded. The online application process matches applicants automatically to all scholarships for which they qualify.
- Over 200 scholarships awarded annually
- Awards based on funding and demonstrated need
- One-year awards with required follow-up when accepted
2026–2027 Application Periods
Application Timeline: There are three application windows each academic year: a fall cycle, a winter cycle, and a spring cycle. For 2026–2027 the fall, winter, and spring periods are offered; students submit one application per academic year and it will be considered across cycles. Applications are submitted online via AwardSpring and require students to register an account with a valid email address. Check the email you provide after submitting your application, as award notifications and deadline-related communications will be sent there.
- Single annual application covers all three cycles
- Apply online via AwardSpring (account and valid email required)
- Monitor the email on your application for notifications
Basic Information
Description: WVC Foundation uses a roll-over application model so one submission can be considered across multiple quarterly cycles. If an application is not awarded in a given quarter it will automatically roll over for consideration in subsequent quarters during the same academic year. Applicants typically receive award notifications six to eight weeks after the quarterly deadline. Once a student receives a scholarship during the academic year, they are not required to reapply until the following academic year.
- Roll-over application means one submission is sufficient for the year
- Notifications are sent approximately 6–8 weeks after each deadline
- No reapplication required within the same academic year after receiving an award
Eligibility
Eligibility: All current and incoming Wenatchee Valley College students are eligible to apply, including part-time students, adult learners, and DREAMers. Scholarships cover a wide range of programs and areas of study, so applicants from nearly every discipline are encouraged to apply. Eligibility criteria for individual scholarships may vary; the online application will match you to scholarships based on the information you provide. If specific eligibility requirements apply to a particular award, those will be communicated during the selection process.
- Open to current and incoming WVC students
- Includes part-time students, adult learners, and DREAMers
- Individual scholarship requirements may vary
Renewable Scholarships
Description: Many WVC Foundation scholarships are renewable, allowing students to receive funding for a second academic year. Renewal offers are reviewed and processed separately, and the Foundation strives to complete renewable scholarship offers during the summer. Specific renewal eligibility and any required documentation will be communicated with recipients. Receiving a renewable award in one year does not guarantee renewal without meeting the stated criteria.
- Many awards are renewable for a second year
- Renewal processing is typically completed in the summer
- Renewal depends on meeting award-specific criteria
Athletic Scholarships
Description: Athletic scholarships are administered by the college’s athletic department and are available to student-athletes participating in WVC intercollegiate teams. These awards are separate from Foundation scholarship cycles and are coordinated through coaches and the athletic director. Students interested in athletic awards should contact the athletic director or their sport coach for details on availability and application steps. Athletic awards may have distinct eligibility and selection requirements related to team participation and performance.
- Athletic awards are managed by the athletic department
- Contact the athletic director or individual coaches for inquiries
- Athletic awards have separate eligibility and selection processes
