The Michigan Gateway Community Foundation is a broad-based philanthropic organization committed to creating long-term, positive change. We develop, protect, support and launch charitable initiatives designed to produce lasting benefits for residents of South Berrien and Cass Counties.
Scholarship Timeline — Important Dates
- January 15: Scholarship application period opens.
- March 15: Application deadline. Applications submitted after 11:59 p.m. on March 15 will not be accepted.
- April–May: All applications are reviewed during this period, recipients are selected, and every applicant will be informed whether they received a scholarship.
- June–July: Students awarded scholarships must return their scholarship acceptance form so we can direct payment to the appropriate school. Current scholarship recipients seeking renewal must complete renewal paperwork during this time.
- July–August: Once acceptance and renewal forms are received, scholarship checks are processed and sent to the recipient’s school. Allow approximately two weeks for check processing.
