Route To STEM Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by Route to STEM Foundation Inc.
Introduction
The Route to STEM Foundation, Inc. awards scholarships each year to help increase minority participation in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics fields. Below are the scholarships currently offered and the eligibility criteria applicants must meet.
Available Scholarships
- Route to STEM Scholarship: For a student enrolled in or planning to pursue a STEM degree at a two-year or four-year college or university.
- Route to HBCU STEM Scholarship: For a student pursuing a STEM degree at any accredited historically black college or university (HBCU).
- Route to FAMU STEM Scholarship: For a student pursuing a STEM degree at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU).
Eligibility Requirements (applies to all scholarships)
Applicants must meet all of the following conditions:
1. Belong to one or more racial/ethnic groups underrepresented in STEM (examples include African American, Hispanic/Latino, and Native American).
2. Be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, or lawful permanent resident.
3. Be a high school senior who will graduate during the current academic school year.
4. Have been accepted into a degree program in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics field at a two-year or four-year institution (specific scholarships require enrollment at an HBCU or FAMU as noted above).
5. Hold a cumulative GPA of at least 2.75 on a 4.0 scale.
6. Submit a complete scholarship application package by March 31 of the application year, including an academic transcript and two letters of recommendation.
