Benny Bootle Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers
Full-time undergraduate students pursuing a Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree in a field traditionally associated with the HVAC&R profession are eligible for scholarships. These students must be enrolled in a preparatory curriculum at a recognized institution. Each regional scholarship has its own additional criteria, which are detailed below.
To qualify, applicants must have a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale, and/or be ranked in the top 30% of their class. Additionally, they must meet at least one of the following conditions:
- Their institution has an established ASHRAE student branch
- Their program is accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) (www.abet.org)
- Their program is accredited by the Consejo de Acreditacion de la Ensenanza de la Ingenieria (CACEI) (www.cacei.org)
