The VSCPA Educational Foundation invests in the next generation of accountants by distributing more than $80,000 in scholarships each year to students working toward accounting degrees at Virginia colleges or universities and who plan to become CPAs.

The application period is currently closed. New scholarship opportunities will be available soon — applications open January 9, 2026 and will close April 1, 2026.
2026 scholarship details
- The Foundation awards more than $80,000 annually to students pursuing accounting careers.
- For the 2026–2027 academic year (including the Summer 2026 term), individual scholarship amounts will range from $2,500 to $3,000.
- Scholarship funds are disbursed directly to recipients’ institutions in June 2026 to be applied toward tuition and fees.
- Applicants complete a single application and will automatically be considered for every scholarship for which they meet the eligibility criteria.
Eligibility (required)
To be eligible for any VSCPA Educational Foundation scholarship, applicants must meet all of the following:
- Have completed at least three credit hours in accounting by December 31, 2025.
- Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.7.
- Be enrolled at—or intending to enroll for Fall 2026 in—a Virginia college or university and intend to pursue a CPA license.
- Be a VSCPA student member (membership is free).
