Selection process
The Community Foundation administers the selection. A review committee made up of Community Foundation staff along with community and family representatives evaluates applications and chooses the recipient(s).
Notification and payment
Recipients will be notified by email in the spring with instructions for claiming the award. The scholarship payment is sent to the recipient’s college in a single installment in the fall; the institution will apply the funds equally to the fall and spring semesters once required documentation is received.
To trigger the initial disbursement, upload the requested documents — including your class schedule and tuition bill that verify full-time enrollment in an eligible program — to the Community Foundation’s Scholarship Portal between July 1 and August 15. Scholarships not claimed by October 15 of the award year will be forfeited.
