Fred J. Epstein Youth Achievement Award
Scholarship Sponsored by Smart Kids with Learning Disabilities
Each year Smart Kids with Learning Disabilities spotlights young people across the United States who have achieved exceptional success in spite of—or because of—their learning differences. The Fred J. Epstein Youth Achievement Awards honor remarkable students with learning disabilities and ADHD whose accomplishments have left a positive mark on their schools and communities. Many past honorees have gone on to further success in college and the workforce.
Nominations are currently open for the $1,000 Fred J. Epstein Youth Achievement Award and the $500 Special Recognition Award. In addition, Honorable Mentions will be named. Eligible nominees are students aged 19 or under who have shown initiative, talent, and perseverance that resulted in a significant achievement in any area, including (but not limited to) art, music, science, math, athletics, or community service.
Award Presentation
Winners will be recognized at the Smart Kids with Learning Disabilities annual gala on April 10, 2025, at the Woodway Country Club in Darien, Connecticut. Transportation and hotel accommodations will be provided for the winning student and their parents.
