Dakota Pequeno Memorial Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by Epilepsy Foundation of Michigan
Dakota Ruby Pequeno — called Cody by those close to her — was a 16-year-old looking forward to her senior year. She loved playing in Powder Puff football games, entering the school talent show, singing songs from Rocky Horror Picture Show, and listening to bands like Evanescence and Slipknot. Tragically, Dakota lost her life as a result of epilepsy.
To honor her memory, Dakota’s family created the Dakota Pequeno Memorial Scholarship so others can be supported in pursuing their goals, reflecting Dakota’s own spirit and ambitions.
