The Rosemont Community Association is now accepting applications for the 20th Annual Carol Arbini-McFarland Rosemont Community Service Scholarship.
Award: $1,500
Purpose: To recognize graduating seniors who demonstrate strong commitment to community service.
Eligibility and requirements:
- Applicant must be a resident of the Rosemont neighborhood. Rosemont’s boundaries are Folsom Boulevard to Jackson Highway, and Bradshaw Road to South Watt Avenue.
- Must be a graduating senior.
- Cumulative academic record equivalent to a “B” average (minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0). Completion of Honors and AP coursework will be given additional consideration.
- Demonstrated participation in school and/or community activities, with preference for substantial community involvement.
Examples of qualifying activities:
- Community service projects, volunteer work, or after-school employment.
- Extracurricular involvement such as athletics, clubs, student government, or similar school organizations.
