The scholarship program has been in effect since 1968. Since then ORRC has given over 11,500 in scholarships for more than $4,000,000. It is a one-time scholarship available to rural high school* graduates entering any private or public college or technical school in Oklahoma. The scholarships are due to ORRC by April 15th. The amount of this scholarship is based on the number of applications received and financial need of the student. The amount of scholarships will generally range from $250 to $750. We attempt to give the maximum available.

This application is to apply for a scholarship award for a graduating senior for their first year of advanced education. Oklahoma Rural Rehabilitation Corporation provides this award for one year only. Scholarships are available to residents of Oklahoma only and the student must obtain higher education & training from an Oklahoma institution. Oklahoma Rural Rehabilitation Corporation (ORRC) was formed in 1934 as a non-profit corporation. The funds for the agency were furnished to a board of directors to assist farmers and rural people.
These funds are presently invested in farm loans. The interest from these loans is used for scholarships, rural development grants and other purposes. The money that is used to sponsor this scholarship program is funds the agency earns and is not furnished by any county, state or federal government.
