GEAR Up Idaho Scholarship

Overview
This scholarship is for students who will graduate from an Idaho high school in 2024 or 2025 and who participated in an Idaho GEAR UP program at any time during the grant period from Fall 2019 through Spring 2025.
Eligibility requirements
To be considered, applicants must satisfy every item below:
- Have participated in an Idaho GEAR UP program during the grant years Fall 2019 – Spring 2025 at one of the listed school districts (see list below).
- Hold or be on track to receive a secondary school diploma or an accepted equivalent.
- Be accepted to and enroll in an undergraduate program at an eligible institution of higher education located in Idaho. Eligible institutions include Idaho public, regionally accredited schools under the Idaho State Board of Education and private, non-profit, regionally accredited Idaho colleges and universities (list below).
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) before March 1 of the year they graduate high school.

Award length and other terms
- The scholarship may be awarded for up to four academic years (a maximum of eight semesters), beginning the fall term after high school graduation. Any eligible years not requested or used will be forfeited.
- The actual award amount and distribution depend on the number of qualified applicants and the funds available each year.
If you meet these requirements, prepare to submit your application starting October 1 and make sure your FAFSA is filed before March 1 of your graduation year.
